Master's students in Human Rights at UNIVALI - SC get to know the project


Under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Rafael Padilha, students of the Master in Human Rights at UNIVALI (Santa Catarina) visited Roraima in order to get to know the migratory crisis experienced in the State up close. The delegation, made up of 14 master students and the program coordinator, spent a whole week at the beginning of November, visiting shelters in Boa Vista and Pacaraima.

The group saw closely the operation of Operation Acolhida, coordinated by the Brazilian Armed Forces, which counts with the decisive participation of Civil Society and its local representatives, carrying out different humanitarian aid initiatives for Venezuelans who use Roraima as a gateway to Brazil and other South American countries.

On the last day of the visit, in a program held at the School of the Judiciary of Roraima (EJURR), the “Venezuela on flight” Project was presented to the group in a lecture, given by the author of the work, cartoonist Franco Soares.
